Why give to DOON?

Understanding how research is conducted in France is the key to understanding how to help it.

The Nice Department of Onco-Ophthalmology (DOON) has its own Endowment Fund designed to receive donations. Donations are essential to support the effectiveness of the association’s actions and missions. They allow everyone to contribute to a meaningful cause and make a difference on their own scale for the benefit of all.

These donations are acts of trust. Funds are used to finance scientific and medical research projects, therapeutic education programs for patients, and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals with ocular tumors. Examples of funded projects are available on our association’s website—feel free to check them out.

Donations to DOON give you the benefit of a 66% tax deduction on your income tax, up to 20% of your taxable income. If you are subject to the French wealth tax (IFI), you can deduct 75% of your donation amount, up to €50,000 per year, from your IFI tax.
